Every writer has the freedom to choose which subject they want to focus on without interference from editors.
Every writer is required to market their own work via social media and email. We encourage writers to also market other writers work.
Because we are writer-owned, we also share in expenses when revenue doesn’t cut it. There are two cost.
- Share Price: $1200 – One-Time Fee
- On-going : $5-$20- Servers, Marketing, productions etc. This cover server costs, marketing and other ongoing costs. This is covered by revenue usually but if revenue isn’t enough, we split the expense.
Writers are required to publish two SEO optimized opinion pieces each week. The ideal length is 1500-2500 words per article.
DUTIES: • Write original news stories and help produce other big stories for Candor Media Group of sites.
• Create multi-media stories, using photos, videos and other assets to enhance the viewer experience.
• Ability to react to and post breaking news quickly and accurately is a core expectation of this position.
• Pitch original ideas to enhance a growing, national digital product.
• Monitor analytics to measure story performance.
• Ability to fact check, edit and share big stories for Candor Media Group’s network of sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
